All was good on the way to Kuala Lumpur. My plane left Australia shortly after midnight and I managed to get three seats beside each other on the plane, so i got a little sleep on the way over. Big relief that was. I arrived in Kuala Lumpur at ridiculous o'clock in the morning, checked into my fancy hotel and then headed out in search of breakfast. To my delight I found an awesome little place nearby. I ordered a roti channai (fresh hand made roti served with curry sauce for dipping) and an iced tea. The guy took a liking to me and i ended up with three different dipping sauces and an egg roti (instead of the plain one). Had a second tea too... One of the freebie curry sauces was a chicken liver curry - not too keen, but tried it and it was really good! All up my little morning feast cost $1.30. God i love asia.
For lunch: two curries (accidently chose one with liver and chewy offal - no labels on them here), rice and salad. Got out of that for $1.60. Apart from the fact that i seemed to have become a liver magnet, Malaysia was a gourmet ball! Although i must admit, both liver dishes have rated as a pass, which is very uncommon for me.
Golly it was hot in Kuala Lumpur, and with a humidity of about 500%. You can just about swim through the air!
I was going to head out that afternoon to the "sunday market" which I saw in the 'things to do' paperwork in my room. Asked the concierge how to get there and he told me that in Malaysia, Sunday markets are actually held on Saturday night and not on Sunday. I suggested that perhaps they should call it the 'saturday night market', but he insisted that that's not the way it's done here... Ohhh well, that only left a couple of options in the bucket for my first afternoon in town - a couple of beers and a big deep bath!
The time in Kuala Lumpur turned out to be amazing overall. Malaysia's a great place: that goes without saying, but the people I met on the course were what made it. There were people from just about everywhere, and we all bonded really well as a group. It was a blast! I spent a lot of time with Anna from Russia, Yerlan from Kazakhstan, Mouttaz from Benghazi in Libya, Dung from Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam, Rasha from Iraq, Kenza from Algeria and Saranya from Chennai in India.

I believe in choice. Everyone has a choice to do right or wrong, good or bad, and merits or sins. I believe we are all created for a reason by God and it is our choice to pursue these reasons and make the best out of our life, or just let time pass and do nothing.
I believe that one's strength is his or her determination to do the right thing. In doing the right thing I believe only right means may be used; honesty, truth, and courteousness.
What drives me in my life is my determination to succeed in what I do. If it is in the job it is to successfully complete the assignment in hand, to satisfy clients, to perform a good service, to do it better and in less time the second time around.

I'm working out in the middle of the desert in Oman. So far it's been good here. My family are all back in Melbourne and I'm hoping to be able to go home for Christmas this year to spend time with my family. I'm booked in for 10 weeks school in Paris from February next year and I'm really excited about that. Schlumberger courses are great fun because you meet a heap of people from all over the planet and spend lots of time out of class playing.

I was born in Jakarta and I grew up in this city but I get my Univ. is in Bandung, a small city near from Jakarta. My hobbies are Basketball, Soccer, and Travelling. Nowadays I'm in Egypt at Kattamia Based, this is the only one based for D&M in Egypt and I'm still waiting for a job so now on My job description is only Read some CD's and Chatting. My OFS-1 Class is the best compare with this lousy or shitty place hhehehehehe... I hope I can get another one but offcouse without the F!@#K HUET hehehehhee.... The things I want to do in my life are I want to travel around the world especially Mt. Everest, Amazon River and Caribian Island. My Dream in the Future is I want to have my own company so maybe in the next 15 years if anybody intrested to open a company especially in Oil and Gas Industry please contact me OK hehehehe.....

I am working in Tanggu-China, and my school will be on January 4th, very early!!!!!! I am scary for this, I have a few time to complete my task sheets, here I have a lot of work and my boss doesn't like that I stay in the office, only workshop and work yard.
Never in my life I thought should work far of my family, my friends, out of my country!, now I am here and I think that our OFS1 was a very good beginning, and my work team is very nice and my boss too.
Take advantage of the opportunities with the choice that everyone can be take in our lifes is one same of live, now we have a good opportunity not only to work also to grow personally and enjoy both.

I'm Kenza from Algeria and assigned to Libya. I'm in WCP Testing.
For me, the 4th October (first course of OFS1) was the opportunity to be in contact with people from the four corners of the world and this is not NOTHING, it's a random sample of the SLB people. There, I learnt that success transpires either on - your calling, your business, your lovey-dovey life, your relationship with the others or your health - it depends only on YOU.
I'm now spending my 2nd month in the company and day after day my assurance grows. The result is that I LIKE THIS JOB and I like my life in Libya.
I want to confirm just one thing: the Libyan people are very kind, very welcoming and lovely; I don't feel foreign at all.

There are seven people in my family; my mother, father, three sisters, one brother and myself. My life is normal: work, friends, football, music and movies. My pets are baby cats. My hobbies are football, music, cars, movies, and the important thing in life (women). I want to visit Hawaii alone.
I'm working in Schlumberger WesternGeco and I work as a data processor in the Tripoli office. I want to be professional in my job. I work in Dat El Emad Complex, 6th floor, Tripoli, Libya, and my job is to process and enhance data. I have met people of many different nationalities here in the office. There are also many people in our camps in the desert who I will try to get to know. My job is what I want and what I expected.
I did my OFS-1 training in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It was a very nice place and the people were very nice, but the course was very long time. It was 9 hours per day so it took most of our time.

I'm in the north of China in a city called Tanggu, about two hours drive from Beijing. Life is here is good apart of the weather. My training School will on 4/1/05 in France. I hope I can meet someone from OFS1 there.
Since I joined Schlumberger I have had a great experience. I have also improved in some areas of my personality, e.g. accepting my faults and emphasizing my good traits.

Im working at SIS now, in Kuwait, I am a Geoscientist supporting this reservoir charactarization software called Petrel. I haven't done the actual training just yet its going to be sometime early next year, in Oslo, Norway i think. In the meantime i'm working on my self-study modules, OJT (On the Job Training), my mentor has given me a few exercises to work on which have to do with the software as an introduction, i also have QHSE training this month, so yeah that's kept me plenty busy)

I was born in Bahla and I studied the secondary school in bahla. I studied Electrical Engineering at Sultan Qaboos University in Muscat. Now I am working in wireline at Fahud - Oman. My school will be in Egypt on 24 December. I live with my family in a village and we have a farm. I have 3 sisters and 6 brothers. I like travelling and playing volleball.
